Root Canal Treatment

Root canal therapy is an indispensable procedure in the treatment of teeth that are severely decayed, infected, or broken. A root canal can save your tooth from being extracted and help you maintain your tooth for many more years to come.

With the help of the surgical microscope, the pulp chamber of the tooth is accessed to reveal the root canals contained within.

The infected nerves arethen removed using special files and the canals are reshaped and thoroughly disinfected to ensure no pulp tissue or infection is left. The canals are then filled and sealed with a special material to prevent further re-infection. Depending on the severity of the original decay, a post and/or crown may be required to help restore the tooth.
